Living in the Northern Hemisphere means my birthday has gone from being a cold, wintry affair to a blisteringly hot pain fest in the middle of summer.
And graveyards are more enjoyable in the winter, I feel.

I am fluent in English and Awesome, conversational in Funny and Star Wars and what might be termed “menu only” in French; in that I know how to order multiple food/drink items and ask how much things are.

Paris doesn't disappoint. This is a rare thing to say about a tourist attraction. In fact, I can't think of a single other tourist attraction that does exactly what it says on the tin.
