You can all rock out to my latest series of holiday photos. And also a video of seal snorkelling in the Isles of Scilly. Try and say that seven times fast.
It’s really easy, douchebag.
More exciting life updates (or ‘lifedates’) imminently.
And here’s the Scilly photo album. Hope you like close up photos of flowers!
On the same trip we rocked quite a bit of Cornwall. So that’s next.
Highlights included Mount St Michael’s. (Which is good because Penzance was otherwise incandescently shit.)
And -wonder of wonders- St Nectan’s Kieve and Tintagel. Legendary birthplace of King Arthur and rare vendor of Kendal Mint Cake.
St Nectan’s Kieve was one of the more spiritual places I have been in my life. It’s where King Arthur allegedly baptised his knights but has been a sacred valley to the Cornish sea god, Necton long before Arthurian legends.
Aren’t myths awesome? “Myths describe things that never happened but always are.”
Words to live by… Possibly.
Last and definitely least was a day trip to Oxford with some wonderful(ish) Australians. I got to eat and drink in the fucking room where Tolkien would read Middle Earth shit aloud to the other inklings.
Splendid.
Words to accompany these photos, as well as words in general -both curse and boring- will be forthcoming. Due to a variety of other writing commitments I need to reconfigure what this blog is for and about.
Stay tuned.
